How Do the Rubber Bearings in the Chase Arms Work?

We manufacture these special parts to provide the energy absorbing power of a bushing with the steering precision and flexibility of a bearing. We CNC machine the bearing housing to perfectly follow the 3-D contours of the bushing. This housing captures the bushing without preloading/deforming it. The petroleum-resistant synthetic rubber bushing is lubricated with silicone gel and pressed into the housing. When the CNC machined sleeves are inserted, the bushing is locked into place laterally, so it can't shift sideways.

As the suspension cycles this unit functions like a bearing. The sleeves silently rotate within the rubber and the rubber rotates within the bearing housing. Simultaneously, lateral misalignment and energy absorption are provided by the flexion of the large diameter rubber bushing. These parts provide a positive "return to center" effect as well as maximum noise, vibration, and harshness attenuation - perfect parts for serious off road use.
